Dig spots, mining, fishing, diving, fish traps, and mist spots each reward different archaeology sets. Work through one set at a time rather than collecting randomly, and check the How to Obtain column for the exact spawn source.
Donate the first copy of every artifact to the Museum before selling duplicates. Many sets require skill perks such as Well Placed, Former Farmers, Mist Sight, Aquatic Antiquities, Sunken Secrets, or Lost to History, so upgrade your Archaeology and Mining skills to unlock the full list.
Higher-rarity artifacts usually appear deeper in the mines or from more specific spawn conditions. Legendary artifacts are the rarest drops, so expect to farm their source repeatedly.

Why can't I find certain artifacts?
32 artifacts only unlock after specific Archaeology or Mining skill perks such as Well Placed, Former Farmers, Mist Sight, or Aquatic Antiquities. If a set won't drop, check whether you need a skill perk first.
