Fields of Mistria Festivals: Dates, Rules & Rewards
Festivals are not optional wallpaper — they gate hearts, shop stock, Town Rank renown, and quest items you cannot buy elsewhere. Most festivals pause normal shop hours and move NPCs to the square, beach, or inn. Arrive before noon to trigger introduction scenes; late arrivals can still participate but may miss optional heart moments or vendor lines.

Spring Festival — Spring 17
The Spring Festival kicks off the social year with decoration contests, seed vendors, and introduction scenes for newer players.
Trigger & rules
- Automatic event on Spring 17; shops close and NPCs gather in the square.
- Decoration / mini-game contests offer renown and festival rewards.
- Dance partners and mini-game teammates can spike hearts with the candidates you are raising.
Preparation checklist
- Bring loved gifts for your top candidates (one festival day does not replace daily gifting).
- Do not replant your whole field the day before if you still need strawberry regrow income.
Tips for first place: arrive before noon to catch introduction scenes, and carry gifts in your inventory (not in chests at home) so you can gift between contests.
Shooting Star Festival — Summer 28
Shooting Star pairs stargazing with the Beautification Project — town cleanup tasks that feed plaza upgrades.
Trigger & rules
- To date during the event you need a minimum of 4 hearts with your chosen partner.
- Clear calendar conflicts and arrive with a loved gift.
- Softlock bugs on this festival have been fixed — keep Steam updated.
Preparation checklist
- Finish Beautification Project steps earlier in Summer — Summer 28 is too late to start.
- If project NPCs lack prompts, check the story unlock checklist.
Tips: Dating failing at this event usually waits for next year — it is not permanent. Spend early-Summer days raising your chosen partner toward 4 hearts.
Harvest Festival — Fall 10
The Harvest Festival displays community crops and rewards presentation quality.
Trigger & rules
- The critical prep item is Queen Berry, which must be planted by Fall 7 to mature for judging (three days is tight).
- Queen Berry doubles as a loved gift for some candidates — check the gift finder before submitting your only stack.
Preparation checklist
- Mark Fall 1: buy and plant Queen Berry seeds.
- Enter your best-presented crop for the display contest.
Tips for first place: plan Fall crop layouts around the Queen Berry judging window; donate first copies of any festival dish to the museum before shipping.
Winter (Animal) Festival — Winter 10
The Winter 10 festival highlights ranching.
Trigger & rules
- Bring your best animal products and ensure barn friendship is high from petting and heart treats.
- Winter festivals punish players without a greenhouse or animal income.
Preparation checklist
- If Fall mining consumed your budget, stockpile feed before Winter 1.
- Pet and socialize with your animals daily leading up to the event.
Saturday Market — Weekly
After bridge and plaza repair, the Saturday Market runs every week. This is economic routine, not a one-off festival.
| Vendor | What they sell / offer |
|---|---|
| Stillwell | Mission quests on the request board; quest turn-ins that reward furniture and materials. |
| Zorel | Song Crystals and Crystal Resonators for farm music / ambiance. |
| Rotating stalls | Rotating gifts and quest items; block Saturday mornings for shopping — mine runs can wait. |
Year-1 Festival Prep Timeline
- Spring 17 — attend the Spring Festival; gift your primary partner.
- All Summer — finish the Beautification Project before Summer 28.
- Fall 1 — buy and plant Queen Berry for the Fall 10 judging.
- Mid-Fall — complete bridge + plaza repair to unlock the Saturday Market.
- Winter 10 — enter the Animal Festival with ranch goods and feed stockpiled.
- Every Friday — visit the Inn for friendship maintenance; after finishing the Mines Storyline, extra Friday-night story content unlocks.
Festival & Romance Planning
- Festival days pause shop hours and relocate NPCs — carry gifts, not storage runs.
- Pets only run helper jobs on clear weather; on rainy festival days they may idle — assign jobs beforehand.
- Mounts reach festival maps faster once your mount questline is complete.
- Weddings are blocked on Spring 14, Fall 7, and Winter 7 (setup days); double-check mail nightly to avoid booking conflicts.
Common Festival Mistakes
- Missing the Fall 7 Queen Berry planting window.
- Attending Shooting Star below 4 hearts and thinking dating failed permanently — it waits until next year.
- Skipping the Saturday Market because mines pay better short-term Tesserae.
- Forgetting NPCs leave shops — keep gifts on you.
- Double-booking wedding or heart events on festival mornings.
